"Green Phosphor Makes Virtual Worlds Valuable" - Network World

Glasshouse Demo Videos

Glasshouse is the patent-pending system for displaying three-dimensional representations of data within virtual worlds.  Hundreds of pages of data can be viewed at once, in an intuitive way; allowing patterns, trends, and outliers to be quickly detected by humans.  Please view the videos below to discover the power of Glasshouse.

Glasshouse is a gateway which interacts with databases in realtime, creating and modifying 3d content within virtual worlds. This dynamic capability enhances situational awareness, alerting, and predictive modelling.

The introductory video to the left talks about the application of Glasshouse to the pharmaceutical industry; however, the benefits of exploring data collaboratively, in 3d, apply equally to all industries and enhance education and training within any domain.

Green Phosphor LLC was founded in October 2007 by Ben Lindquist and Ed London. The company maintains offices in Tallahassee, Florida and Fairfax, Virginia. Glasshouse currently works with Second Life, Wonderland, SAIC OLIVE, and VastPark; additional virtual world platforms are easily added through the use of the CICP protocol.

This video is an introduction to what Glasshouse is and how it works, focusing on the basics of navigation in the virtual world and interaction with 3d objects which communicate with Glasshouse.

Glasshouse can be used in a public mode, with public virtual worlds; in a private mode, as an Internet service; or completely securely, deployed behind the firewall as an appliance or software installation.

Problem: What is happening on our network?

Solution: Look at firewall logs with Glasshouse, to see patterns of activity.

Problem: When did things change most in the Middle East?

Solution: Using Glasshouse to look at BP's World Oil Stats reveals that the entire world changed significantly right after the fall of the Shah's regime in Iran.

Problem: How can I and my colleagues around the world see multiple financial indicators in realtime, normalized and compared with eachother side by side?

Solution: Use Glasshouse to create a 3d market graph in Second Life and feed live updates to it.

Problem: How do the oil consumption, population, and greenhouse gas emissions of the countries of the world correlate over time?

Solution: See all three measures, across countries and years, at the same time with the GridStack feature of Glasshouse.

Problem: How do I share the data in my Excel file with people around the world, in a more intuitive way?

Solution: Use Glasshouse to instantly render a 3d graph of your Excel data into Second Life.

Problem: What effect does flu reporting have on Google Flutrends Data?

Solution: Use Glasshouse to look at all the data at once, and find anomalies. The anomaly mentioned in this video happens to coincide with the first H1N1 Swine Flu report issued by WHO.

Problem: I have a lot of network activity coming from China. Is it normal?

Solution: Glasshouse can be used to reveal data relationships which do not appear to be normal and warrant further investigation.

Problem: I'm ready to use Glasshouse, but I need a secure, military-grade virtual world platform.

Solution: Glasshouse has already been integrated with SAIC's OLIVE platform.

NOTE: no audio

Problem: I want the benefits of Glasshouse, but within an open-source, cloud-hostable platform.

Solution: Glasshouse works great with VastPark!
